Incorporate these rituals in your daily life to reclaim your power and magic.
Whether you are new to a magical/spiritual practice or a veteran, here are some resources and suggestions to incorporate more magic and groundedness into your daily life.
Self-Love: A bath ritual
Whether it’s a shower where you anoint yourself with your favorite oil after or whether it’s a whole Venusian Friday love date, incorporate it into your life.
Your body is magic
A bath ritual:
Ingredients
Rose buds or any other flower (dried or otherwise)
A bathtub
Your favorite oil
Music
Candles
Honey
A book
Anything that you feel would be a good offering to Venus
A luxurious-feeling robe or after bath outfit
Steps
Put your phone on do not disturb
Light the candles
Set your intentions. It can be just “feel love”.
Set the music.
Take your time drawing a bath, adding to the water the ingredients you’ve collected. Rejoice in the sensuality of it all.
Add the ingredients that are the offerings to Venus.
Intentionally enter the bath.
Breathe.
When it feels right, dip your finger in the honey and lick it off while in the tub. Repeat as needed.
When you’re done, exit the bath knowing you are cleansed of the things that weigh you down.
As the water drains, so do any traces of negative self-feelings.
Wrap yourself up in the cozy post-bath attire and enjoy a heartwarming beverage like cocoa or rose tea or a beloved meal.
Even 20 mins will do the trick
Candle & Journaling Magic & Nature Ritual
Candle spell for releasing
Write down on pieces of paper everything you want to get rid of in your life.
Light a candle.
Burn each of the pieces in the flame.
Remove the debris, give it back to the earth.
Journal
I will die on this hill.
Whether it’s morning pages or just a brain dump of you speaking into the notes section of your phone, it’s never too early or too late to start a practice and commit to yourself.
If you can’t commit to journaling, how will you commit to any of your other intentions for the year?
Change requires change. Simple yet we forget about it.
Ritual for connecting to nature, your intuition, and beyond.
Find a tree or other element of nature that you come across daily or weekly.
Approach it with interest and curiosity to connect with the spirit of the tree.
Put your hands on it, close your eyes, and ask if you could have a chat.
Keep all your doors of perception open. Notice what your receive as a response.
Bring an offering - not another plant but something personal. Hair, nail clippings, blood.
Show up to the tree consistently and build a relationship with it.
Your intuition will become clearer the more you connect with the tree. The more you will know how you receive information. The stronger your gut instincts will be.
Sleep Magic
Whether you are interested in dreamwork or simply remembering your dreams or waking up rested or falling asleep easily, a night practice is the solution.
Invest in a good pillow.
Get some herbs that assist with sleep
Chamomile
Lavender
Mugwort
Melissa aka Lemon Balm
Blue Vervain
California Poppy
One or all of the above will do
Ritualize it
An hour before you want to go to sleep, turn off devices, lower the lighting, make yourself a warm herbal tea or place some dried herbs in a sachet under your pillow.
Do your nightly skincare routine or shower, brush your teeth, etc.
Get in bed.
Use the last steps of your skincare routine in bed.
If you don’t have a routine, it’s a great way to start one. It can be as simple as using hand cream.
Read something light while enjoying your tea.
Give your herbal sachet a bit of a squeeze, smell it, and think about the dreams you want to have tonight.
Turn off the lights.
As you are falling asleep, think of your favorite place, your happiest memories or ask your sleep allies to help carry you into a restful night.
Imagine Nyx, Night, coming in and cloaking you in sweet, safe, restful darkness.
Hold these visions for as long as possible.
